The Sony PlayStation 2 is a 128-bit DVD-based system. The
PS2 is capable of playing DVDs, Audio CDs and games
 for both
the PS2 and its predecessor, the Sony
PlayStation (or PSone). The Dual Shock 2
controller was also introduced with this system. The Dual
Shock 2is essentially the same as the previous gamepad, with
the small addition of analog buttons which are used in some
games.
